Assignment#15- my dream job

My dream job is to be somewhere in the army. I don't know exactly what section but whether it be navy,air force,marines etc. I would be honored to join any of them. The army is a career that is exciting,  honorable, and dangerous. The army is our armed forces we are there for any conflicts and if a enemy country attacks us or one of our allies we are there to fight and to help. I want to join because it seems like the only thing that is exciting enough for me, if I had to sit in a office all day I would not last very long. I also want to be apart of defending our country and help out other countries even. My dad and my dad's dad and so on, so I have a long blood line of army dads. I would like to meet new people and I think that the people you meet would be like your second family, you are responsible for their lives as your life is in their hands as well. The drawback to joining the military for me is the thought of killing a guy, I don't know if I could bring myself to do it, and also the possibilty I could get killed myself, but I am willing to take this risk so I can live this lifestyle,

Fairy Tail is an anime that is set in the world of Fiore. Fiore is a land where magic is possible, people use it for daily things like cooking and cleaning, but a select few investegate magic even further and battle with their magic powers, these wizards have formed into groups called guilds. They all strive for fame and fortune as they take on requests of other towns people fo money.

The story's protaginist Natsu is a boy who was raised by a fire dragon named Igneel.Natsu is a kind hearted but also very out going and brave guy who likes to yell and fight a lot. Igneel taught him how to read and write but mostly magic. He taught him a lost magic called dragon slayer magic, which basically means he can shoot fire out of his hands and mouth. One day, Igneel leaves and Natsu wanders around until he finds the Fairy Tail guild. He loves it there and becomes a proud member.

The story begins when he meets Lucy a girl longing to join the fairy tail guild, Lucy is sort of a typical girl, kind hearted, girly. Natsu makes this happen and they form a team with natsu's rival Gray. Gray is a more calm version of Natsu and just likes to get into fights with Natsu and kick back. The other member is Erza a legendary wizard. Erza is a very controlling woman who is very noble and brave.
The 4 of them og on many adventures together.

GMOs are organisms who have been genetically altered by genetic engineering.  The things that have been genetically engineered are bacteria, yeast, insects, fish,plants, and mammals. Genetic engineering can also be done to food.

I think GMOs is fine done to food but not to living creatures. I think this way because food is food and we can change it up how we please but living creatures don't deserve to be genetically altered the way we see fit. I think it is a violation of our moral code to change the way these creatures look, act, and feel for our personal gain.

Assignment # 26

One of the greatest movies of all time is Scar Face.  Scar Face is the story of Tony Montana, a cuban immigrant that came to america. Tony went from the bottom to the top with a little help from drugs. Tony became one of the most feared drug dealers of all time and gained a massive fortune. This is my favorite movies of all time and I know a lot of people who think no different.

One of the strong points of the movie is all of the really well done characters. You have Tony Montana a cuban immigrant who used his brutal and his not caring attitude to get to the top, he is one of the toughest villains ever, he is one guy I would never mess with and the movie does a good job of showing that he is a bad ass, he also has a noble side as he refused to kill the children and the wife on this one job. You also have his partner Manny Rivera, he was also a cuban immigrant and very good friends with Tony, he has more of a carefree attitude although not as terrifying as tony he still can pull the trigger on anyone he needs to.

Another this I like about this movie are the lines that he says in the movie. " Say hello to my little friend" when he opens fire on a bunch of cartel members was a famous line indeed. I also like how he calls people "Cockroach" or screams " do you know who you are messing with? I am Tony Montana!" Those lines are what make Tony so cool.

Lastly, I love the sheer thrill of the movie. This movie will never have you bored as usually Tony is either trying to kill or trying to get killed in this action packed movie.

I think this is the greatest crime film of all time and deserves its popularity. I give it a 10/10

Assignment # 25

One of my favorite things to do in todays culture is watch anime. Anime is almost like a cartoon but the whole show is following a story, not just one episode after another. Anime is made by the japanese so it's not as popular he as it is in japan. There are a bunch of different anime but some of my favorites are Naruto, Fairy Tail, and Death Note. These ones are some of the most popular but there is a bunch of anime that is just as good. An anime's length varies a lot, like Naruto has over 400 episodes and still going, while Death Note had 37 episodes and has ended. Usually anime is about a person who is gifted some kind of power and uses this power to protect friends, family etc. Usually there will be others who have this power and people who are stronger with this power so he will try to surpass all of those people whether they be friend or foe. What I really like about anime is watching all the characters develop from episode 1 - episode 400 and so on, I really like the art style and the look of a lot of the characters, and of course the fight scenes are really cool looking. Anime is really good for killing time since episodes are only usually 20 minutes long.

I play a lot of video games so that has probably affected my typing skills. I also took an adventure type typing game in elementary school.

Learn 2 Type.com has plenty to offer for the beginner typer. They have a free typing test so you can evaluate your skills as a typer. They also have a typing tutor to teach you about typing. Lastly they have typing games so you can enjoy yourself while you are learning how to type, My favorite is Pac-man.

I think smoking wastes time and money. I personally do not smoke because I think it is a waste, it does not taste very good, and I don't need a stress reliever. Also I have a lot of friends and family that smoke that want to quit more than anything. The risk is too great, you are telling me I could get cancer, heart disease, and all sorts of other health issues if I smoke this stick everyday? why is it worth it? it's not. I also don't want to hurt others around me from second hand smoke, it isn't fair that other people suffer for other's choices.

Assignment #20 - free choice

Jiu Jitsu is a sport that I like to play. Jiu Jitsu is a style of martial arts that is mostly "on the ground fighting" it is similar to wrestling but the goal is to make your opponent tap out from pain, not to just get them on the ground.

 I train at Tomacelli academy on newport blvd. It is a school that has been around since 2006, the coach there is Mike Tomacelli, he is a black belt instructor who has won many tournaments and also guided many students to victory as well. He was trained by Joe Moreira a famous fighter who is an 8th degree coral belt.

I was introduced to this sport from my friend Taylor about a year ago. I barely convinced my grandma to sign me up but when she did I was really happy. The gym is a lot like a family rather than a gym, everyone there is really nice and are not full of themselves like a lot of those guys. They work hard to be the best they can be and to help the lower levels as well. I love going there every day and I want to be the best ever, it takes a lot of hard
work though to even get past the beginner stage where I am at but I will do it.

assignment#16-expertise

I am interested in a lot of things but lately most of my time goes to a game called League of Legends. League of Legends is a 5v5 team based game, I really enjoy this game because of the strategy put into it and the overall fun of it, also the competitiveness of this game is huge, often times people will say they are "better than you" because they have a higher rating, but when that happens and you happen to beat them you feel awesome.

There are  5 positions played in this game and they either go in the 3 lanes or the jungle, the top lane played by bruiser champions are usually melee that do damage but can survive fairly wrong,the jungler played by usually a tanky champion with alot of cc, cc means crowd control stuff like stuns, slows stuff like that. they are very hard to kill but do not do a lot of damage. The middle lane is played by the Ability power carry, they do the most burst damage through out the game but rely on cool downs and mana(resource) to do their damage. the bottom lane is played by the attack damage carry and the support, the attack damage carry does the most attack damage so he constantly does alot of damage not as much burst damage as the ability power carry but overall does more damage cause he can keep attacking with no cost, The support is there to keep the adc alive, he buys sight wards which are things that give vision on the map. In fights the champions who are hard to kill are usually in the front protecting the carries. I personally play attack damage carry most of the time.

The main objective of the game is to destroy the enemy's nexus; a big purple thing in the base. how you do this is you keep winning fights to get the other players out of the way so you can get a chance to attack the turrets defending the nexus. There is a lot of ways to go about doing this but overall teamwork is the thing your team must have or your team will lose. This is just the basics to the game there is much more to the game.

Assignment#17- stranded

If I were stranded on a island I would first bring a laptop, to go on the internet, play games on. I would play blackjack, warcraft games that don't need an internet connection. I would bring one with exceptional battery life and bring back up generators for the laptop.

 I would bring a pencil to write about my time on the island. I would write on tree bark, leaves and mayby even rocks. I would write about my time on the island and how I survived.

Lastly, I would bring a first aid kit. I will probaly need this because who knows the dangers of the island, if I injure myself the only way to save myself may be the first aid kit. I could probaly use the first aid kit mayby even for use beyond medical needs like bandages to wrap wood together or something.

Assignment #19 being charitable

The charity I have chosen is the Save the Children Federation. Save the Children is an organization that  wants to create change in the lives of not only children from the U.S. but from all around the world. When disaster strikes Save the Children will be there to save lives by giving out food, medical care, shelter and even education. They are constantly working to save children from poverty, starvation etc.

I like this charity so much because they have such a noble cause. Saving kid's lives all over the world is as noble as it gets. What really gets to me is when they talk about on the news how their are children in 3rd world countries dyeing from lack of resource and illness. This organization gives hope to all of those kids.

Assignment - #18

1. I want to be a black belt in jiu jistu.  I want to do this because I really do enjoy the sport and I want to be at top level and being on the same level as my coach would be pretty cool.

2. I want to be at tournament level with the game I play League of Legends. I play everyday to improve my skills and I think it would be fun to be able to compete at tournament level maybe even win a few.

3. I want to travel the world and write a book on my travels. I really like those story of people who travel the world and get into strange and scary situation, sounds really fun.

4. I want to be able to fight for the country. I don't care if it's army, marines, navy, or air force as long as I can serve like my dad and his dad, I would rather not kill anyone though.

5. I want to skydive. I have always wanted to do this since I was little, I don't know why.

#13 - favorite video game

A thing that interests me is my favorite video game, League of Legends. I have been playing this game for about 4 months and I have decided that it is my favorite game in this short time. The gameplay surpasses all other genres of game because it has challenge,competition, and fun. How the game works is it is a 5v5 game on one map "Summoner's rift" and you and your team choose from about 100 champions to fight the other teams champions. The map is simple there are 3 lanes that lead to eachother's bases, in the middle of the map there is a river that goes through the middle lane and ends at the top and bottom lane. Both teams have a jungle before the mid point of the lanes, the jungle has creatures in it that are generally easy to kill that give you buffs,gold, exp etc. the objective of the game is to get into your enemey's base and destroy their nexus and how you go about doing that is each lane has 2 towers on each side and 1 front base tower and 2 towers protecting the nexus, you want to destroy all of those towers leaving the nexus vulnerable, but the towers do alot of damage so the way to destroy the towers is with your minions. your minions spawn about every 30 seconds and the way to destroy the towers is pushing back the enemy minions all the way to the 1st tower so the tower hits the minions and gives you a chance to hit the tower without be hurt by it and you do that all the way to the nexus. minions also give experience and gold, so you want to kill as many as you can to get up to max lvl and have a lot of gold.  Usually one person goes middle lane, one person goes top lane, 2 people go bottom lane, and one person used the jungle to kill minions for exp and to help other lanes when they need it. When you kill an enemy champion you get 500 gold making you ahead of the other lanes and the person you killed can not get gold/exp from minions for a short time because they have to run back from their base back to the lane. Gold is used to buy items that make you stronger, so pretty much the more gold you have the stronger you will be, Sometimes you can kill so many champions to the point where you get "fed" and that is where you are extremely ahead of everyone and do insane amount of damage. The reason I like this game is because It is really challenging, fun,teambased, and all the champions are unique.
